An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time First Team Doctor to join our Medical Team
predominately based at our Training Ground and forming part of the Team that is dedicated to the First

You will be responsible for providing medical services which are unrivalled including the provision of elite
medical assessments, screening, and treatments for all first team players as required.

Previous extensive experience as a Team Doctor in elite sport within a First Team environment is
essential. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

o Provision of medical assessments, screening, and treatments for all first team players as

o Consult with players concerning medical and health related matters and ensure all medical
procedures are carried out to the highest standard;

o Communicate effectively with the Head of Medical to ensure all relevant medical, performance
and management staff are appropriately informed;

o Ensure the required medical cover and services are provided for all home and away matches;

o Ensure Emergency Action Plans are regularly reviewed so they are relevant, up to date and

o Deliver a comprehensive Pre-season screening programme for all first team players;

o Carry out detailed pre-signing medical assessments for all new players;

o Participate in continuous professional development to ensure that best medical practice is
implemented and that a fully integrated medical approach is

o Support the in-service training of the multi-disciplinary team and ensure the Club and medical
team are kept up to date with relevant medical developments;

o Deliver medical/health education programmes to players;

o Maintain highly accurate medical records, ensuring strict medical confidentiality in accordance
with the code of professional ethics and data protection

o Act as an advisor on all levels of the business with regards to medical issues; and

o Carry out clinical audits and develop best in practice medical policies and procedures.

Candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of musculoskeletal medicine and knowledge
and practice of integrated medicine. You will also require postgraduate qualifications in Sports Medicine.
Further, this role requires a full UK GMC registration, ATMMiF pitch-side emergency qualification and FA

This role follows the schedule of the First Team therefore, we are looking for a highly flexible individual
who is able to change their pattern of work regularly and often with short notice. This is a tremendous
