Update: BASES Annual General Meeting 2020
1st October 2020
Further to the information shared with members at the end of May 2020, the government then passed new legislation (Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020) which provided temporary and permanent measures to help companies through COVID-19 lockdown and restrictions and beyond.
One of these measures provided organisations with some flexibility in the way they are allowed to hold their AGMs. Prior to this new legislation, many organisations like BASES were tied into holding face to face AGMs, requiring a physical presence from attendees in the same location. The Government has now extended this temporary measure until 30 December 2020, which means that BASES is able to hold the next AGM in a virtual environment.
The virtual meeting that had been planned for 4:30 pm (GMT) on Monday 16 November 2020, for the BASES briefing, will now be used to hold our formal AGM.Full notice of the agenda will be shared with members at least 21 days before the meeting.
