BASES News - The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences

BASES is extremely sad to learn of the passing of Prof Roger Eston FBASES. Roger was Research Professor at the University of South Australia. He was a great academic with expertise in a wide range of areas including kinanthropometry, muscle damage, paediatric exercise physiology, perception of effort, and measurement of physical activity. Roger ran regular BASES workshops on anthropometry and body composition assessment and was made a Fellow of BASES in 2000.

Roger put people first, caring greatly about wellbeing and creating an environment in which colleagues were happy and could thrive, He made a huge impact on the discipline of sport and exercise sciences internationally and he will be greatly missed by the sport and exercise sciences community. BASES extends sincere condolences to his friends, colleagues and family.
