BASES updates its MoU with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP)
24th February 2023
The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) and The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) announce the signing of an updated Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The aim of the MoU is to broaden the opportunities for members of both associations through research and resource exchange, networking and professional development.
Both associations will recognise each other’s members as full members, offering preferred pricing to events and online subscriptions.
Ian Wilson, BASES Executive Director, is delighted that the BASES and CSEP have approved an updated collaborative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that outlines how the two learned groups will continue to work together to improve and extend their respective membership benefits through sharing resources and aspiring to align accreditations and certifications where possible. This comes on the back of some great collaborative work that was shared with members in January 2023.
Ian thanked Zach Weston, CSEP CEO for helping to update the MoU and looks forward to a long and fruitful relationship with our friends in Canada.
Zach Weston, Chief Executive Officer of CSEP said, “BASES is a global leader in exercise science with whom CSEP is proud to partner! We are very pleased to strengthen and continue our relationship with BASES, and in doing so, create increased value through credential recognition and access to continuing professional development resources for our collective memberships on both sides of the Atlantic.”
Information on shared resources will be announced in due course, keep an eye out for updates in the BASES member newsletter and on the BASES website.
