Opportunities to get involved in BASES’ Division Committees and Advisory Groups

Several volunteers will conclude their current tenures over the next couple of months, and some have now concluded their terms on BASES’ Standing Committees and Advisory Groups, for which we extend our thanks.  We are currently going out to open advert for the following roles:

  • Biomechanics and Motor Behaviour Division Committee: Postgraduate Student Rep*
  • Physical Activity for Health Division Committee: Postgraduate Student Rep* and Undergraduate Student Rep*
  • Physiology and Nutrition Division Committee: Membership Rep** 
  • Psychology Division Committee: Deputy Chair and Postgraduate Student Rep*
  • Sport and Performance Division Committee: Deputy Chair and Undergraduate Student Rep*
  • Climate Action and Sustainability Advisory Group (formerly Climate Change Action Team): Members (see separate advert)
  • Clinical Exercise Physiology UK Group: 2 x End-user Reps and Allied Health Professional Rep
  • Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group: Undergraduate Rep
  • Expert Statement Advisory Group: 2 x Members - Biomechanics specialism and Psychology specialism
  • Outreach Project Team: Member
  • Sport & Exercise Psychology Accreditation Route Advisory Group (SEPAR AG): Chair; Candidate Rep and End-User Rep
  • The Sport and Exercise Science Editorial Group: Nutrition Rep, Social Media Rep and Expert Statement Rep

* Division Student Reps (Postgrad and Undergrad) also serve on the BASES Student Advisory Group (SAG).

** Physiology and Nutrition Division Membership Rep will also serve on the BASES Membership Reps Advisory Group.

The appointment of the above roles will be via a formal, open and transparent recruitment process, with the aim of attracting the widest range of the most suitable talent.
