Recruiting for a Membership Rep for the Division of Physical Activity for Health

Dr Miranda Armstrong, the current Membership Rep for the Physical Activity for Health Division, has recently been appointed Deputy Chair to the Division. As such, we are now recruiting for a new Membership Rep for the Physical Activity for Health Division. The incoming Division Membership Rep will also represent the Division on the Membership Rep Advisory Group, which reports to the Stakeholder Committee. The terms of reference for the Physical Activity for Health Division, the Stakeholder Committee and the Membership Reps Advisory Group can be found here.
The general purpose of the Membership Rep is to maintain and enhance member benefits and services and increase membership recruitment and retention.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities include:
- Support BASES in delivering member service excellence
- Support BASES in developing a clear ‘value proposition’ for existing and new members to support member retention and recruitment
- Support a Division ‘network’ for members to engage with like-minded sport and exercise scientists
- Liaise with other Division Membership Representatives to share best practice and work on collaborative initiatives.
Candidate background:
- Member of BASES
- Knowledge of the Division’s subject-area
- Ideas on increasing the value of BASES membership
- Knowledge of metrics to monitor service improvement or a willingness to learn these metrics.
