Study: Understanding sports performers’ mental well-being and performance

9th October 2024

Professor Brendan Cropley FBASES, Dr Lee Baldock, and Dr Alan McKay from the University of South Wales (USW) are conducting a study that aims to investigate the impact of reflection on an individual’s mental well-being and their performance. They are seeking the views of athletes, coaches, and those who operate in support positions (e.g., performance analysts; S&C coaches; physiologists; psychologists) at any level of the sport (e.g., grassroots to international). The questionnaire can be completed online via any device and will take around 15 minutes from start to finish. If BASES members could take part, it would be hugely appreciated (participants must be 18 years or older). Likewise, if members could pass the link on to anyone who also plays / works in sport, it would again be appreciated.
