The Members of BASES

Sam Kirk and Richard Simpson, Membership Rep and Co-opted Member of the Division of Psychology have been working on producing an interview initiative, ‘The Members of BASES’. The project aims to showcase the breadth and depth of the BASES membership. From practitioners to researchers, educators to entrepreneurs, students to fellows, each member of BASES offers something unique to the world of sport and exercise science, as professionals and as people. This project aims to capture that diversity and share it among BASES members.
Sam and Richard have shared their process with the other BASES Divisions who will also be adding Division-related interviews to the Members’ Area.
Sam and Richard kick-off the interview series by interviewing Hugh Gilmore, a BASES SEPAR APEC Candidate and co-host of the ‘Eighty Per Cent Mental’ Podcast. The interview will be available to view in the Members’ Area later in April.
Dr James Malone, Membership Rep for the Sport and Performance Division, has produced an interview series that gives upcoming practitioners and students information, guidance, and tips from individuals working day to day with athletes. The interview series can be viewed in the Member’s Area.
