Course Description

Explore the physical, social and psychological impact of injury in sport. Gain the knowledge and skills to improve lives through sport therapy. Through a combination of academic study and practical investigation you will learn to prevent, treat and rehabilitate soft tissue injuries. You will also build the ethical and social awareness needed to work in this field. Together we will consider how to decide when an athlete is ready to return to play after an injury - an issue which is hotly debated by players, coaches, medical professionals and the media. We approach sports therapy and injury rehabilitation from various perspectives, as you learn to manage and prevent injury at all levels of sport.
