About

The School of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences (SHES) has a long track record of providing high-calibre degree programmes. Bangor has attracted some of the world's best teaching and research staff who have contributed to the development of one of the UK's truly excellent degree programmes.

Unlike some other schools in the UK, all staff are research-active and all teach students. This means that students at Bangor are taught by the leaders in their fields - 1st in Wales/7th in the UK, with 100% of research either world leading or internationally excellent.

Bangor offers a unique environment between Snowdonia and the sea, probably one of the best university locations in the UK. As well as providing an enjoyable learning environment, this fantastic location gives students an opportunity to become actively involved in life outside the lecture hall. Free membership of the many clubs and societies on offer at the University supports this excellent student experience.
