About

The University of Brighton can trace its history of delivering sport and exercise-related courses back to 1898, with the BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science degree programme running since 1980. The BSc degree also offers a 'with PE' route. The school provides taught MSc degrees and MRes/PhDs by research in the sport and exercise science area. The University has invested heavily in specialist human performance laboratories and sporting facilities. The School has enjoyed a national and international reputation of excellence in teaching and research, with strong evidence of the impact to clinical and occupational populations and our Olympians and Paralympian’s alike. Sport scholarships for talented athletes are available. The School benefits from its location in Eastbourne, backing onto the South Downs and some of the most spectacular coastal scenery along the south coast.
