About

Cardiff School of Sport offers some of the most popular undergraduate and postgraduate sport-related courses in the UK. The six courses are designed to meet market needs and the curriculum is based on an attractive mix of theoretical studies, laboratory work and coaching workshops. Teaching staff offer numerous academic, research and professional activities to support the delivery of the curriculum. The Postgraduate Scheme in Sport Studies is based on a system of compulsory and option modules that students can tailor to suit their professional requirements. There are three exit points from each of the seven degree pathways. Students can exit with a University of Wales Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PgC) or a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PgD); a Master's degree (MSc or MA of the University of Wales) is awarded following the successful completion of all taught elements as well as the submission of a 15,000 word thesis. Additionally, the Cardiff School of Sport offers a postgraduate programme in Sport and Exercise Medicine for Medical Doctors and Chartered Physiotherapists.
